| Welcome to the web site of the South-East European Research and Education Networking project, SEEREN. This initiative, funded by the European Commission under the Information Society Technologies (IST) Programme (IST-2001-38830) aims at expanding the European research network in South-East Europe by providing GEANT connectivity to non-GEANT countries. |

| The project will establish the South-East European infrastructure interconnecting the National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) of Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Federal Republic of Yugoslavia - Serbia and Montenegro (FRY), Greece, Hungary and Romania. The NRENs will be linked via 2-34 Mbps international connectivity. SEEREN will interconnect the regional NRENs to the major GEANT Points of Presence (PoPs) in this area. |
